How to Report a Property Listing on Property Finder

To report a property listing on Property Finder, open the listing and select Report at the top right, next to Save and Share. Tell us who you are, pick the reason that fits, add any details, and select Send Report. It takes less than a minute, and it helps keep every listing accurate for the next person.

Where is the Report button?

On every listing page, look at the top right of the page, in the same row as Save and Share. The Report button has a small flag icon. Selecting it opens the Report this property window.

On the Property Finder app it works the same way: the flag icon sits at the top right of the listing, and the steps below are identical.

How to report a property, step by step

  1. Open the listing you want to report.
  2. Select Report at the top right, next to Save and Share.
  3. In the Report this property window, choose who you are: I am a potential renter, I am the landlord or I am an agent.
  4. Select the reason that best matches the problem. The options change depending on who you are, see the lists below.
  5. If you are reporting as an agent, you can also attach a file as evidence, up to 10 MB.
  6. Add a short message with any details that help us check the listing faster, for example when you called or what the agent told you.
  7. Select Send Report.
A reason is required: you can’t send a report without one. If you see “Please select a reason”, pick the closest match from the dropdown and use the message box for anything the list doesn’t cover.

Which reason should you choose?

The reasons you can pick depend on who you are, so choose your user type first.

If you are a potential renter or buyer

  • Property not available: the agent told you it’s rented or sold, or the listing is clearly no longer on the market
  • Inaccurate price: the price you were quoted doesn’t match the advertised price
  • No response from broker: your calls or messages about this listing go unanswered
  • No property details: the listing is missing the basics you need to evaluate it
  • Poor quality or irrelevant photos: the photos don’t show the actual property
  • Inaccurate location: the map pin or community doesn’t match the real address
  • Inaccurate number of bedrooms: the layout doesn’t match what’s advertised
  • Incorrect property type: for example a studio advertised as a one-bedroom
  • Inaccurate floor plan: the floor plan doesn’t match the unit

If you are the landlord

Choose I am the landlord when the listing advertises a property you own. You can report it as:

  • Property not available: your property is already rented or sold but still advertised
  • Inaccurate price
  • Inaccurate location
  • Inaccurate number of bedrooms
  • Incorrect property type
  • Inaccurate floor plan

If you are an agent

Choose I am an agent to flag a competing or duplicate listing that breaks the rules. You can report:

  • Property not available
  • Inaccurate price
  • Inaccurate location
  • Inaccurate number of bedrooms
  • Inaccurate floor plan

As an agent you can also upload a file (maximum 10 MB) as evidence, for example a screenshot or a document that supports your report.

What happens after you send a report?

Your report goes to Property Finder’s quality team, who review the listing against the reason you selected. Listings that turn out to be unavailable or inaccurate are corrected or removed. The more specific your message, the faster the review.

Frequently asked questions

Search or browse questions about reporting a property listing.

Do I have to select a reason?

Yes. The report won’t send without one, and you’ll see “Please select a reason” if you skip it. Pick the closest match and add anything else in the message box.

Can I attach proof, like a screenshot?

If you report as an agent, you can upload a file of up to 10 MB with your report. Renters and landlords can describe the issue in the message box instead.

The agent never replied to my enquiry. Can I report that?

Yes. Report as a potential renter and choose No response from broker. Mention when and how you tried to reach them in the message box.

The property I called about is already rented. Which reason do I pick?

Choose Property not available. It’s the fastest way to get an outdated listing reviewed and taken down.

Can I report a listing from the mobile app?

Yes. The experience is the same as on the website: tap the flag icon at the top right of the listing, choose who you are, select the issue, and attach documents where needed.

A listing advertises my own property. What do I do?

Open the listing, select Report, and choose I am the landlord. Pick the reason that fits, for example Property not available if it’s already rented or sold, and explain the situation in the message box.
